He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jarvis, Emmerson, Everett, Tom, Nelder, Aletha and Velda; his siblings-in-law, Bill Midford and Charlene Midford; his parent-in-law Chris Midford; and also Ranny Midford.

He is survived by: his spouse Dianne; his children, Kevin Costain (Cindy Semeniuk) and Trena Todd (Dean); his grandchildren, Cameron, Kyle, Landen, Wyatt and Wade; his great grandchild Callie; his siblings, Goldie Brennan, Lucina Costain (Joe Hogan), Brenda Wedge (Bill), Hedley Costain (Priscilla), Gary Costain (Bernice), Darryl Costain and Darris Costain; his siblings-in-law, Noelle Costain, Francis Costain and Donna Workman (Bob); his father Paul; and also Angel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
