He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf and Frieda; and his daughter-in-law Sharon Illichmann. He is survived by: his wife Theresia; his children, Judith (Michael), Thomas (Laura) and Robert; his grandchildren, Thomas (Sharon), Jacob (Steph), Robert (Jen), Daniel (Katie), Mark, Nathan (Jamie), Kady (Chris) and Laura; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Willow, Jack, Riley, Charlie, Morgan, Reed, Sasha, Georgia and Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rotary Foundation of Canada in memory of Adolf.
