It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alfred Hanet (Kelowna, British Columbia), who passed away at the age of 89, on August 12, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Hanet and Olga Hanet; his wife Sally Kathleen; his son-in-law David Griesser; and his brothers, Fred and Adolph.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Burdge (Johnnie Townsend), Sharon Weber (Dennis) of Didsbury, Jim (Sheila) of West Kelowna and Wayne (Val) of Williams Lake; his son-in-law Don Burdge; his grandchildren, Michael Griesser, Heather Lucente (Walt), Stacy Tober (Jon), Stephanie Patterson (Adam), Tyler Hanet (Ashley), Matt Hanet (Jessica), Rachel, Joel Hanet, Emma, Meghan and Sarah Hanet; his great grandchildren, Tremaine Cofell, Wally, Levon Lucente, Everett, Olyvia Tober, Rhys, Nora Patterson, Kinleigh, Olivia, Maverick Hanet, Theo and Aubrey Hanet; his partner Shirley Kirschke; his siblings, Bunny Pincin (Peter) and Alphonse Hanet; and his sister-in-law Doris Hanet. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held to honour Alfred, due to the current pandemic restrictions it will be by invitation only.
