He was predeceased by: his wife Doris "June" Burns; his parents, Charles Burns and Anne Burns; and his siblings, Ron, Barry and Gayle.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Burns; his children, Bonnie Burns (Gerry Stillwell), Terri Ehlert (Gerry), Robert Burns (Grace) and Barbara Burns (Suheel Bashir); his grandchildren, Shauna, Erin, Ria, Taylor and Blake; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Cale, Katherine, Siri, Roan and Kian; and his brother-in-law Warren Sibbet.
