Anna Johann (Arendt) Dueck Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Johann (Arendt) Dueck (Kelowna, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Eduard Dueck; and her parents, Johann Martin and Sara Arendt. She is survived by: her daughter Lora Janzen (Doug); her grandsons, Jeremy Janzen and Mark Janzen (Lindsey Knights); her daughter Elvira Carlson (Gord); her grandchildren, Miranda Khushalany (Glen) and Craig Carlson (Krysanne); her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Khushalany, Isbella, Jackson, Adelaide and Finley Carlson; her son Erland Dueck (Linda); her grandchildren, Justin Dueck (Rebekah) and Rebecca Dueck; her great grandchildren, James, Elijah, Evelyn Dueck and Jaxon Dueck-Howell; her son Ervin Dueck (Dianne); her grandson Riley Dueck (Erin); her great grandchildren, Penelope and Juliette Dueck; her son Richard Dueck; her granddaughter Alexa Dueck; her daughter Heidi Ludwar (Darcy); her sisters, Mary Fehr and Margaret Lind; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Arendt, Annie Arendt and Elisabeth Janzen. She is also survived by her extended family which includes her two youngest.

His care and affection for her was greatly appreciated and brought her companionship and joy, especially valued during the pandemic years when contact with her family was restricted.

She crocheted beautiful baby blankets donating some to the Okanagan Pregnancy Center.
