It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Armand Poitras (Kelowna, British Columbia), who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Armand Poitras to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marguerite; his parents, Léon Poitras and Doria Poitras; his granddaughter Haliee; and his great grandchild Kara.
He is survived by: his sons, Andre (Clara) and Gerald (Kimberlee); his grandchildren, Louise Armstrong and Maurice (Elaine); his great grandchild Elaine Grison (Dario); his children, Jean (Carroll), Janette Desautels (Loren) and Marcel (Annette); and his siblings, Lawrence, Ernest Poitras, Angeline Charlebois and Clarice Pettitt. He is also survived by 8 children, 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (839 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y5X4). A reception was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rutland Centennial Hall (215 Shepherd Rd, Kelowna, BC V1X2A3).
