He is survived by: his children, Ed, Bernie and Karen; his grandchildren, Sarah, Jared, Kelly, Emma, Alexander and Cameron; his great grandchildren, Luca and Nicolas; his siblings, James, Margaret, Viola and Darlene; his daughter Philemon; and his brothers, Wesley, Art and David.

His journey spanned several significant projects, including his contributions to the development of Rogers Pass in the 1950s, the Arrow Lakes Project in the 1960s, and the Sea to Sky Highway in the 1990s.
