She was predeceased by: her parents, Merite Summers and Pearl Summers; her children, Little Merle, Janet and Elaine; and her husband Doug.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sandra (Serge) and Raymond; her children, Steven (Cora), Nancy and Michelle; her sons-in-law, Jim Fry (Laura) and Georges Desjardins; her grandchildren, Lisa (Jason), Candace, Kevin (Lena), Miranda (Josh), Daemon (Megan) and Carter; her great grandchildren, Dakota, Dominick, Bailey (Griffin), Landon, Lincoln, Tyson and Alina; and her siblings' children, Iris, Stephanie, Steve, Micheal, Melody and Marley. She is also survived by extended families, and many friends.
