He was predeceased by: his son Glenn; his parents, John Alexander and Clara Alexander; and his siblings, Gordon, Mervin and Wilma.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Scott (Sharilyn) and Trevor (Daynna); his daughter-in-law Bev; and his grandchildren, Jenna (Adam), Kevin, April (Rick), Tyler, Ryan, Alex, Kelsey and Madeline. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
