In the sacred silence of farewell, Carol is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Carol's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred McGibney. She is survived by: her siblings, Ella Barr and Jim Halliday; and her children, Brian (Jo), John, Patrick and Fiona. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Mum received many honours for her work in the performing arts culminating with the King's Coronation Medal, awarded "In recognition of your outstanding contribution to your community".
