Cecile Marie Adair (née Gougeon) November 22, 1946 – November 10, 2018

It is with great sadness, that I announce the passing of our beloved mother, Cecile, who succumbed to complications after successful surgery to remove a small cancer from her lung.

She is forever remembered by her daughter Stephanie (Steff) Farrar, son-in-law, Ren Farrar, grandson Raiden Moore, son David Adair, daughter-in-law Stacy Adair, grandson, Liam Adair, brother, Richard Gougeon, sister-in-law, Linda Gougeon, niece, Krista Gougeon, nephew, Robbie Gougeon and Sophie Robillard, great nieces and nephew Zoe, Jacob and Rebecca.

Mom enjoyed a life primarily in nursing, for over 50 years, where she demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to helping ensure that everyone under her care was treated with kindness, decency and respect. One of the highlights of her career was her position as Ship’s Head Nurse with Norwegian Cruise Lines, which travelled to many different ports around the Caribbean and Alaska. In addition, Mom welcomed a short break from nursing to take on a career change in real estate.

Some of mom’s memorable passions included her time with her beloved ‘Marie Alice’, Mother’s Days spent with family at Smitty’s, playing video games, joining Rick and Linda on vacation, attending Liam’s hockey games, watching Raiden’s talent shows and acting gigs, entertaining guests, the beauty of Alaska, appreciating the finer things in life and being independent.

She will be forever remembered.
