She was predeceased by: her husband William Gillatly; her son Daniel Alexander (Leanna); and her mother Charlotte. She is survived by: her children, Steven (Su), Mark and Carol (Peter); and her grandchildren, Aaron, Sara (Nathan), Laura (Steven), Christopher (Elena), Tom (Lori), Robyn (Brian), Courtney and Jessie (Sam). She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to "Hope for Wildlife (https://www.hopeforwildlife.net)" in Nova Scotia, a cause close to Charlotte's heart.
