He was predeceased by: his daughter Melissa; his parents, Percy and Irene; and his sister-in-law Sharon. He is survived by: his significant other Kelly; his son Brennan (Saba); his grandsons, Ezra and Kasra; the mother of his children Gaynell (Murray); his siblings, Gary (Devon), Gordon (Sue), Grant (Marlys), Ken (Brenda) and Kathy; and his in-laws, Kim (Victor), Karen (Bearj), Leo (Charlotte) and Hartley. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the KGH Foundation in honor of Dennis.
