He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel McCarthy and Ruth McCarthy; and his siblings, Jack, Kim and Trish.

He is survived by: his wife Carol McCarthy; his children, Holly (Darrin), Trevor and Tara (Darren); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Dominica, Tate, Kendra, Jenaya, Leila, Tessa and Makenna; and his sisters, Cathy and Lee. He is also survived by extended family and many great friends.
