He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Iafrancesco and Vittoria Iafrancesco; his brother Giovanni Iafrancesco; his brother-in-law Gabriele Cusanelli; and his father-in-law Amedeo Russo.

He is survived by: his wife Bianca; his sister Vitangela Cusanelli; his mother-in-law Armerinda Russo; and his siblings-in-law, Lucy Litz (Rudy), Florinda Salas (Israel), Rita Witzke (Kevin), Erminia Thorpe (Noel), Frank Russo (Valita) and Tim Russo (Carolyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joe touched many lives and will continue to do so with his very substantial donations to the KGH Cancer Care fund and to JoeAnna's House.
