He was predeceased by: his wife Inge (Brandstatter); his parents, Ida and Albert; his sibling Gerulf; and his grandson Jared.
He is survived by: his children, Heike (Coreen), Heimo (Corinne) and Elke (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Kyle (Erica) and Kiara; his great grandchildren, Poppy and Henry; his sister Elke (Arti); and his close friend Josephine.
