He was predeceased by: his parents, Jakob and Anna. He is survived by: his wife Elsa Peters; and his children, Marianne (Viktor), Artur (Joanna), Andreas (Kirsty), Astrid (Johannes) and Stefan (Bailey). He is also survived by six grandchildren (Sara, Janek, William, Victoria, Philip, Nayla); 3 brothers (Gerhard, Heinrich, Willi) and four sisters, (Helene, Anna, Maria, Rita) as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews.
