He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia; his daughter Kerri (Sean); his granddaughters, Mya, Paige and Karmyn; his siblings, John (Joan), Diane (Alan) and Mary (Patrick); his siblings-in-law, Karen and Bruce (Sue); and also, Scotland and Germany.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Jim's name, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
