He is survived by: his children, Silas Merrick (Kate) and Chelsea Hassler (Drew); his grandchildren, Silvanas, Avery, Dillon and Peyton; and his siblings, David Merrick (Heather), Darlene Wolfe, Albert Merrick, Tim Cote (Pam), Don Cote (Sarah) and Wendee Preston (Tim). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
