We bid farewell to Joy-Leigh Rude of Kelowna, British Columbia, born in Calgary, Alberta, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2026 at the age of 64. Joy-Leigh touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her sister Tzena Foster; her niece Amie Ashton; Alf Frewin. She is survived by: her husband Rodney; her son Sean (Phoebe); her parents, Oliver Ashton and Dorothy Ashton; her brother Todd Ashton (Lisa); her brother-in-law Daryle Foster; and her stepsisters, Laurie Nordstrom (Barry), Kathy Lohr (Gordon) and Anne Frewin. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church.

Memorial donations can be made in Joy-Leigh's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
