She was predeceased by: her parent Rosental Chortitza; her husband John Rempel; her daughter Karen Engel; and her siblings, Viktor Hamm and Helena Dyck.

She is survived by: her children, Victor (Marcia) and Elsie; her sister Hilda Hamm; and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Christine, Amy, Daniel and Patrice.
