He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Ball and Harry Ball; his parents-in-law, Dora and Hugh Garven; his brother Walter; his siblings-in-law, Jean (Gordon), Donald Garven and Delores (McGowan); his sister June (Hyland); and his brother-in-law Howard.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Garven) of West Kelowna; his daughters, Dianne (Lester Ouchi) of Vernon, Kenna and Laurie (David Paynter) of West Kelowna; his grandchildren, Aaron and Lisa (Pip Akins); his great grandchildren, Eloise, Oliver of Westbank and Mary Kay (Tom Polacco); and his grandson Christopher of Rutland.
