She was predeceased by: her husband Wilfred; her grandson Jeff Hansen; and her son-in-law Dennis Hansen. She is survived by: her children, Tony (Marilyn), Elaine (Bob Hill) and Jim (Lorena). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 step- grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She taught many children and adults to swim in her backyard pool as well as volunteering at the Parkinson swimming pool.
