With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Albertina Alves Gomes McMiller (Kelowna, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2025 at the age of 71. She was predeceased by: her parents, José Fernandes Gomes and Maria (Conceição Alves); and her brother Manuel Gomes. She is survived by: her husband Frank McMiller; her son Ryan (Kristin); her grandchildren, Nyla, Adalee, Ronen, Joslyn and Thaddeus; her daughter Krystin (Jackson); her grandchildren, Amelia, Clara, Ava and Levi; her son Tyler; her sister Rose (Luigi); her sibling's children, Jessica, Cristina and Christopher; her sister-in-law Anna; and her sibling's children, Dennis and Diane. She is also survived by numerous cousins in her large extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kelowna Seventh Day Adventist Church (1130 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC V1Y8H5).
