She was predeceased by: her husband Ted Gyles; her brother David McRuvie; her mother Madge Rae; and her husbands, William McRuvie and Vic Rae.

She is survived by: her stepchildren, Lizanne (Bob Clark), Laura Gyles, Ellen Gyles-Scott (Glenn Scott) and Mark Gyles (Heather); her grandchildren, Michael, Cameron Clark (Lizanne) and Madison Levesconte (Mark Gyles); and her great grandchild Kovian Thompson (Cameron Clark).

She also received a certificate for donating blood.
