It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mildred Gillies (Kelowna, British Columbia), who passed away on February 17, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bert Gillies; her parents, Alma and Bill; her brother Vernon; her sister-in-law Violet; her sister Alice; her brother-in-law Steve Sawyer; and her siblings' children, Bryce Sawyer, Darryl Larson, Darwyn Larson and Melissa Larson.
She is survived by: her nieces, Kathy Fyall, Marilyn Guillet (Ralph), Donna Larson, Wendy Holmlund (Randy), Cheryl Given (Mike) and Della O'Hara (Joe). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Legion #26 or Kelowna SPCA.
