He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Jim (Carmen), Jeanne, Steve (Jacquie) and Miriam; his grandchildren, Joshua (Hannah), Sarah (Rob), Jesse, Curtis (Chelsea), Christina, Jensen, Kevin, Eli, Joel, Kai and Carter; his wife Shirley Ann; his parents, Elizabeth Kentel (Andres) and Valentine Kentel; and his brothers, Vernon, Wallace and Clifford.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lutheran Hour or First Lutheran Church, Kelowna.
