Raymond John Opitz Obituary

We bid farewell to Raymond John Opitz in Kelowna, British Columbia, born in Watson, Saskatchewan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 3, 2025 at the age of 78. Raymond touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe and Rose; his siblings, Tom, Pat Silzer (Jake) and Judy Heck (Ron); and his brothers-in-law, Erwin Fuhrman and Gerry Baumgartner.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Christopher (Ashley) and Sheryl McDougall (Clint); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Jackson, Katie, Avery and Sydney; and his sisters, Bettie Fuhrman and Mary Baumgartner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Springfield Funeral Home (2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC V1Y5V8).
