He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joan and Jeff; and his parents, Jim Sumner and Dorothy Sumner. He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his daughter Jill; his grandchildren, Lane (Megan) and Claire; his son Bob (Diana); his grandson Alex; his children, Joan and Mark; and his brother Bill.
Bob volunteered with the Calgary Stampede for many years and he would appreciate any charitable donations in his memory to be forwarded to the Calgary Stampede Foundation at 1410 – Olympic Way S.E., Calgary, AB, T2G 2W1 in care of Sarah Hayes.
