Russell Carlson Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell Carlson (Kelowna, British Columbia), born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Carlson and Winnivere Carlson; his brother Melvin Carlson; and his siblings-in-law, Don Geortz and Geraldine Carlson.

He is survived by: his wife Lucille Carlson (Funk); his children, Troy (Natasha), Scott (Tracy) and Simone (Christian); his siblings, Laurence Carlson and Merla Geortz; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Carlson and Bill Funk (Gail). He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Emmanuel Church (2600 Hebert Rd, West Kelowna, BC V4T2J6).

For the past year and a half, Russ had been a resident of The Vineyard's Residence, where he was lovingly cared for before he succumbed to complications due to Parkinson's.
