Ruth Etta Neiser Obituary
Age of 72. She passed away with her children by her side as soft Celtic music played. She now goes to join those who passed before her, including her parents, nine siblings, nieces, nephews, and her husband, Terry Neiser, who passed away Dec. 28, 2007.
Ruth is survived and missed by her children Theresa Neiser (Kelly Babcock), Tammy Neiser, (Jason Azyzn) and Ty Neiser. Grand children Sebastion Neiser, Isabelle Neiser, Alice Neiser-Schilling, and August Neiser-Azyan. She is also survived by Sister Faye Croft and brother Les Herrington, and, many nieces and nephews.
She was a lover and rescuer of animals, she would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Ruth had an easy laugh and smile, and she made everyone around her feel at ease. She had an, "open door policy" so if anyone ever stopped by, coffee was always ready, and an ear ready to listen.
She was always the first one to say "hi", especially if they had a dog with them, and if she ran into, them again, guaranteed she would remember the dogs name and not the person they belonged to. A lover of plants, flowers, butterflies, and hummingbirds, Ruth loved the simple and beautiful, things in life. She made a huge impact on the lives of the people around her right from letting her daughter's friend stay with the family for a time, to taking care of her nephews – she never realized, how much of a special person that made her.
She was just doing what was right. Thank you to the health care team at South Similkameen Health Centre and Penticton Regional Hospital Emergency and floor three. Deep appreciation to all of those who offered compassionate, comfort, and dignity to Ruth and her family during her stay.
A celebration of life with family and friends, will be held in Ruth's honor at a later date. In lieu, of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society in Ruth's name.
