Volodya Salmanov wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Gus: I read about Shirley's passing in the Victoria Times-Colonist this week. Oh, what a wonderful lady she was! I truly treasured her as my MOA for a time, and of course with our own friendship after you retired from Air Canada. I hadn't realized that you had relocated to Kelowna (darn COVID), as I was looking forward to getting together with you sometime! Do take care of yourself. With many fond memories,....Walt Salmaniw MD, Victoria.”
