It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Dianne Schroeder (Kelowna, British Columbia), who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Machacek and Frank Machacek; and her sister Linda Ann Machacek. She is survived by: her husband Hugh; her children, Gary (Tanya) and Carolyn; and her brothers, Jerry (Penny) of Lethbridge, Dennis (Jane) of Vulcan and Larry of Lethbridge. She is also survived by numerous in-laws, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and treasured friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Springfield Funeral Home (2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC V1Y5V8).
