Slavko Prancic Obituary
SLAVKO PRANCIC 1934 - 2005. Born in Dugopolje, Croatia on April 2, 1934, died in Kelowna, BC, Canada on July 23, 2005, finally at peace following long and brave battles with cancer. Slavko leaves to mourn his beloved and devoted wife Shirley, who will continue to be inspired by his life which he lived with dignity, grace, a wonderful sense of humor and boundless courage. Survived by his son John Prancic of Whitehorse, daughter Lydia Prancic of Vancouver and daughter Rosa (Miro) Sucic who lives in Split, Croatia, together with his grandchildren Kristina, Zrinka and Boris Sucic. He will be especially missed by his loving brother Ante (Lily) Prancic of Burlington, Ontario, and fondly remembered by his English family, in-laws Wendy (Des) Bradshaw and Janet (Jeff) Dean. Also left behind are his nephews Ante Prancic Jnr, Paul and Mark Bradshaw and nieces Helen Prancic, Julie Bradshaw, Charlotte Greenwood and Kate Shields and their families, as well as many caring friends. To honour and celebrate Slavko's love of nature and the pleasure he found in his own beautiful flower garden, funeral flowers will be gratefully accepted or if preferred a donation to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, 202-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6 for the Serenity Garden at Cottonwoods Douglas Fir Palliative Care Unit, in his memory will be greatly appreciated. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Catholic Church, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, BC on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:30 am with interment to follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
