He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Currie and Annie Currie; and his sister Vivian. He is survived by: his sister Joyce; his wife Doris Currie (Wells); his children, Pamela Toews (Colin), Teresa Ogbes (Felix) and Byron Currie; his grandchildren, Melissa Sekandari (Eshan), Rebecca Toth, Elias Ogbes and Isabel Ogbes; and his great grandchildren, Diana and Kian.
