Sugio Hatanaka Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sugio Hatanaka (Kelowna, British Columbia), who passed away on July 22, 2022, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Minoru Hatanaka; and her son Jack Hatanaka. She is survived by: her children, Bob Hatanaka (Helene) and Michi Ono (Francis); her daughter-in-law Margie Hatanaka; her grandchildren, Randy Hatanaka (Leslie), Sheri Phu (Tom), Danny Hatanaka (Nanci Bellamy), Bryan, Clifford and Keith Ono; her great grandchildren, Ryan and Eric Hatanaka; and her grandchildren, Tamara and Nathan Phu. She is also survived by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers or Koden, donations may be made, if desired, to Kelowna Buddhist Temple "Fujinkai"/ Women's ministry, or a charity of your choice.
