She was predeceased by: her parents, Piet and Helene of Villiers; and her husband Corrie van der Merwe. She is survived by: her family, Derderivier and Riversdale; and her children, Helena, Corrie (Lesley), Pieter (Vicki) and Sonja (Kobus). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
