He was predeceased by: his parents, John Friesen and Matilda "Tillie" Friesen; his nephews, Loren Friesen, Eric Friesen and Michael Wall; and his niece April Friesen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lorelee Mathias (Aaron) and Kimberly Huber (Jorden); his grandchildren, Harper and Cohen Mathias; his siblings, Gerald Friesen (Fern) and Judy Wall (Howie); his nephew Brandon Friesen (Rebecca); and his nieces, Lauren Friesen and Stacy Wall (Bouathong Keosysano). He is also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews.
