He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Pearson and Stanley; his stepfather Jack; his sister Dianne; his niece Jenna of Winnipeg; and his sister Carol of Kelowna.

He is survived by: his uncle Wilf Atkinson; his sisters, Debbie Dunlop, Wendy Granger (Winnipeg) and Heather Wallman (Armstrong); his brother-in-law David Alexander (Kelowna); his stepbrother Dwight Pearson; and his siblings' children, Joanna, Megan, Kim, Jason, Shane and Jeremy. He is also survived by numerous cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
