He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertram and Ethel; and his siblings, Betty, Harvey, Gwen, Ken, Laura and Ron.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Hanson; his children, Rod Hanson and Monica Koetting; his son-in-law Keith Koetting; his granddaughter Rylie Starcev; his grandson-in-law Nate Starcev; his grandchildren, Reagan Koetting and Joseph Koetting; and his sister Irma Wood.
