He is survived by: his wife Carol; his stepdaughters, Theresa Andersen (Gord) and Katherine Kohlen; and his grandchildren, Michael Andersen, Carter Andersen and Katelyn Kohlen.

William Michael Sweeney passed away peacefully on July 7, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
