He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Margaret (William Campbell Arkinstall) and England. He is survived by: his wife Karin; his children, William and Rhylin; his sisters, Jean and Margaret; and his grandchildren, Simon, Fintan, Lenaya and William Noah.

His last years facing the inevitable decline of Parkinson's Disease were difficult, but being able to stay in his home of 50 years was a comfort. Bill's family expresses sincere gratitude to Paula McGowan, Dr. Ben Prozesky, the Parkinson's Support Group and the Interior Health Community Care team for their compassionate care.
