With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Mottershead (Ladysmith, British Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 18, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Catherine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Catherine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Danny Smith and Cathie Smith; her brothers, Mack, Sid and Richard; her sons, Jeff and Blair; the mother of her children Ruth Powell; her daughter-in-law Iva; and her grandson Devlin.
