He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gwen; his children, Bob Cleave, Gary Cleave and Teri Burstein; his grandchildren, Brandon, Shelby, Mitchell and Edward; his great grandchildren, Hayden and Ryse Cleave; and his parents, Clarence Sydney Cleave and Evelyn May Cleave (Hume). He was also cherished by sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
