With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shannon Lee MacKey (Ladysmith, British Columbia), born in Viking, Alberta, who passed away on August 23, 2024 at the age of 62. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shannon Lee MacKey to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Mackey; his brother Reed Mackey; his brother-in-law Daryl Fossum; and his in-laws, Albert and Linda Taylor.

He is survived by: his significant other Marla Mackey; his children, Chase, Tamara Rooke, Weston, Steven Arkell, Darren Arkell, Braden Mackey (Shay) and Brianna Mackey; his mother Myrna Mackey; and his siblings, Sina Lindquist (Victor), Kris Mackey, Debby Watson-Rauseo (Mario), Harlen Mackey (Gabrielle), Kari Mackey (Len Turcotte) and Jamie Mackey (Heidi Schwab). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (394 Shepherd Ave, Nanaimo, BC V9R3X1).
