He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Bodnarchuk and Peter Bodnarchuk; and his sister Elsie. He is survived by: his wife Moira; his children, Mike (Linda), Cathie (Ralph) and Jeff (Heather); his grandchildren, Peter, Jenny (Steve), Liam Austin, Sam, Natasha Bodnarchuk and Angus Bodnarchuk; and his sisters, Sonja (Zenny), Sylvia (Larry) and Patricia.
