Jean Marie (Fast) Smetschka Obituary

Jean Marie (Fast) Smetschka passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital on June 9, 2020, at the age of 74 after a long and courageous battle against Parkinson’s disease.

Jean was the first of four children, born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Jean is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter; their children Carmel (William), Christine, and Jason (Laura); as well as her brothers Terry (Adeline) and Chuck (Pat). Jean was predeceased by her parents Armin and Tina, her brother Rob and her infant daughter Carrie.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Zion Park Manor for their loving care of Jean.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
