It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Earl John Speer of Lillooet, British Columbia, born in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on June 2, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerald Ensley and Jeannie Davie Bell Speer (Stevenson). He is survived by : his spouse Deborah-Ann Yvonne Miller; his children, Lindsey (Shawn), Amber, William (Michelle) and Kathleen (Derek); and his grandchildren, Ethan, Natalie, Raegan, Logan, Hoss, Zacarias and Odin.

Due to current COVID restrictions, a private ceremony will be held where Earl will be laid to rest by his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elks Club of Lillooet.

Vernus Buss wrote a sympathy message

“I will miss my good friend Earl, and our visits when I was in Lillooet. We were friends for the ten years I lived there, and until present, and had many a good meal, and lots of laughs, hugs, and overall nothing but good times. He always came and got fruit for his famous wine. I remember when his first grandson was born, Ethan, his mini Earl, he was one proud Grandpa.
