He was predeceased by : his brother Steven; and his father John. He is survived by : his son Cameron; his mother Barbara; his sister-in-law Vita; and his nephew Jeffrey.

“It is with sadness that I discovered through a family member residing in the same town, that Ian has passed away. I knew Ian and his family many years ago, meeting Ian through his brother Steven. It is with sadness as well, as I had not spoken to Steven in a while, that he had also passed on. My heart is weeping for the loss of Ian to his son, Cameron, whom I held as a young infant and enjoyed family visits with the clan, over many years. My deepest condolences to everyone.
