Hermanus Johannus Van Der Loos Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Hermanus Johannus Van Der Loos of Mission, British Columbia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Hermanus left this world on March 10, 2026 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Hermanus may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hermanus touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joy; his children, Anna, Martin, Stephen and Francis; and his grandchildren, Patrick and Helena.
Throughout his life Herman felt an obligation to help others as he had been helped by other emigres and Canadians donating milking equipment to Helen Hillman, donating cows to the Westminster Abbey and weekly milk donations to the Poor Clare's Monastery.
